IODE Jon Sigurdsson Chapter Scholarship

Each year in the fall, our chapter awards up to fourteen scholarships to Manitoba students who are starting or continuing their post-secondary education. Our scholarships are funded through the Winnipeg Foundation and several private donors. Each scholarship is worth $1000. Most of the scholarships are awarded based on the student's field of study and their previous academic achievements, as well as their participation in the community. The fields of study include music, education, nursing, social work, land surveyor, and agriculture. There are also two for any university studies, one for outstanding citizenship, and two directed specifically for women. Below are links to our Chapter’s  online scholarship form  and a link to a fill-and-mail version of the form. The application deadline is September 8, 2025, and the scholarships will be awarded at the end of October 2025.
